Three different routes to innovation: Punters Lounge, Betlyzer, and SlotMatic reach the SiGMA North America Awards shortlist
The finalists span affiliate community building, AI-led sports engagement, and a new approach to slot game development.

Punters Lounge, Betlyzer, and SlotMatic have been selected as finalists at the SiGMA North America Awards 2026, giving three distinct projects recognition across affiliate marketing, artificial intelligence, and game development.

The nominations are:

Voting is open on the official SiGMA ballot until 31 August, with the winners due to be announced the following evening at the Hyatt Regency Mexico City.

One shortlist, three different stories

The significance of the result lies partly in its range. Punters Lounge is rooted in the credibility of a long-standing betting community. Betlyzer is focused on the space between sports content, daily audience interaction, and conversion. SlotMatic, developed by Hub Innovation, is rethinking the production infrastructure behind slot games.

Together, the three nominations show how value in modern iGaming is increasingly created at several points at once: through trusted audiences, better content tools, closer conversations with users, and technology capable of shortening the route from an idea to a working product.

Punters Lounge: growth built around stewardship

Punters Lounge reaches the shortlist at an important moment in its history. The brand is managed by TAG Media, which is working with Hub Affiliations through the Premium Operator Partnership Framework to support its next phase of international development.

The framework brings additional infrastructure, reporting, governance, and partnership management to Punters Lounge while keeping continuity at the center of the project. That balance matters for a community whose history stretches back more than two decades.

TAG Media CEO Tom Galanis has recalled that when he first began working with Punters Lounge in 2005, the community had already been active for six years. Following the death of Paul Ross in 2020, TAG Media and the inherited community team worked through the disruption of the pandemic to rebuild the site and strengthen its traffic and search performance.

The new collaboration began in a fittingly human way. Charles Herisson, co-founder of Hub Affiliations, said the first conversation with Galanis happened after a chance meeting on an escalator in Las Vegas. That brief encounter eventually grew into a partnership linking London, Gibraltar, and Naples.

“Our job is not simply to grow Punters Lounge. Our job is to protect what made it special,” Herisson said. His announcement also paid tribute to Ross and noted his family’s roots in Naples, giving the project a personal connection with the city from which Hub Affiliations began its own international journey.

For Galanis, the key word is stewardship: expanding the community beyond the UK and Ireland without losing the passion, credibility, and relationships that shaped it.

Betlyzer: from watching sport to joining the conversation

Betlyzer has been shortlisted for the way it applies AI to sports marketing and audience conversion. Rather than treating content creation and user acquisition as separate tasks, the platform is designed to connect them within a continuous interaction.

Estadio Gana

Betlyzer Creator allows an operator or media brand to create a branded AI influencer that reacts to match highlights, produces data-led predictions, and speaks to the audience every day. The system can handle player and ball tracking, video editing, overlays, and commentary across sports, including football, basketball, and tennis.

Betlyzer Convert takes the conversation into Telegram. The AI agent answers messages around the clock, can be given a configurable personality, and guides interested users through the operator’s registration and deposit journey.

Its nomination for Best AI & Innovation Solution 2026 reflects a broader shift in the market: AI is moving beyond back-office efficiency and becoming part of how sports brands create voices, build communities, and sustain relationships at scale.

SlotMatic: redesigning how games are built

SlotMatic, a technology project developed by Hub Innovation, has reached the Best Game Studio 2026 shortlist with an AI-powered platform covering the slot production cycle from concept to deployment.

Its workflow combines creative automation with mathematical modeling, large-scale simulations, validation, and a production-ready game engine. The aim is to help studios and operators prototype more quickly while retaining control over RTP, volatility, hit rates, paylines, bonus features, and other core elements of game design.

The platform’s AGENTIX engine uses contextual reasoning, multi-agent collaboration, and iterative evaluation to build and refine game models. According to SlotMatic, the current system can reduce development time by up to 80% and the cost per game by up to 50% while supporting an annual delivery capacity of more than 100 slots.

Founder and Chief Innovation & Technology Officer Domenico Vacchiano has described the underlying idea in deliberately human terms: “This isn’t automation—it’s reinvention.” His view is that the future of game production will come from human creativity working with AI, rather than one replacing the other.

Awards night opens SiGMA North America in Mexico City

The SiGMA North America Awards will be held on 1 September 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Mexico City. The ceremony opens a three-day SiGMA program running at Centro Banamex from 1–3 September, where organizers expect 4,000 delegates, 1,000 operators, 850 affiliates, more than 150 speakers, and over 150 exhibitors and sponsors.

The event is positioned as a meeting point between North America and Latin America, with a particular focus on the Spanish-speaking market. The awards will be hosted by journalist Carolina Vallejo and SiGMA presenter Mark Anthony Borg. The judging panel includes executives from Stellar Gaming, Betsson Group, Corporación Caliente, and AIEJA.

Judges account for 70% of the final result, and the public vote contributes 30%. A live charity auction during the black-tie ceremony will raise funds for SiGMA Foundation projects.

Voting closes on 31 August 2026. Supporters can review the complete shortlist and vote through the official SiGMA North America Awards page.
